California white sage

From the latin "salvare" which signifies "to cure", white sage has been used for thousands of years by numerous different cultures as a ritual of cleansing and of healing.

As they are plants with multiple virtues, white sage is essentially used during “smoke rituals” to both cleanse and protect your living areas and your spirit.

During fumigation, white sage removes negative energy from places and cleanses your spirit or events. It enables you to connect with the spiritual world and sharpens your senses.
Traditionally, this ritual is accompanied by prayers and wishes and creates an environment that enables care and healing.

To use during a meditation session whenever you feel the need or during your moon rituals.

How to use ?

• To cleanse the house, open the windows. Light the end of the white sage stick with a match. Once the stick is well-lit, extinguish it so as to disperse the smoke, putting it into a suitable receptacle if you do not have an abalone shell. Go around each room clock-wise until you get back to your starting point, shaking the stick in the air to disperse the smoke, helped with either a feather or your hand. To avoid accidents, use a shell whilst carrying the stick and extinguish it during the ritual. To completely extinguish the stick, crush the glowing end in the bottom of the shell and ensure it is completely out before putting it away.
• To cleanse a person or an object, open the windows, light the end of the white sage stick with a match or a lighter and disperse the smoke with movements up and down, forwards and backwards.

• After this ritual, you can put the ashes on your doorstep in order to protect the entrance to your home.
